Pilgrim Fathers

Pilgrim Fathers; Netherlands and USA :   The Pilgrim Fathers story begins in 16th Century Bassetlaw, in North Nottinghamshire England, where church congregations, met in the nearby local villages of Babworth, Scrooby & Sturton-le-Steeple.  They were forced to flee religious persecution going initially to Amsterdam around 1606 before leaving on the Mayflower to found a new colony in America in 1620
