Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 June 2016

Cycle Live returns in 2016 with the Nottingham City Ride the Great Notts Bike Ride and the Nottingham Grand Prix on the weekend of the Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June 2016.

The Nottingham City Ride offers families and beginners the chance to take in 2.5, 7.5 and 10.5 mile routes around the canal ways of Nottingham. Entries for this event are now open.

To celebrate the Great Notts Bike Ride turning 35 in 2016 the four rides on offer have been given a makeover, including renamed routes to increase the Nottinghamshire identity. In addition, a new even tougher route has been added in to the mix. The aptly named ‘The Sheriff’ consists of an 125 mile route with two category 5 and two category 4 climbs for riders to contend with. The Sheriff has already sold out for 2016 but fear not as we are sure he’ll make a return next year!

Participants can now sign up for the remaining routes; The Maid Marian (25 miles), The Robin Hood (50 miles), The Friar Tuck (75 Miles) and The ‘Little’ John (100 miles), all of which take place on Sunday 26 June 2016.

Returning to the weekend long festival this year will be the racing event,Nottingham Grand Prix. Taking place on the Sunday, the main event will be The Omnium providing riders with one of the best single day experiences available in the Midlands. It also provides spectators a unique opportunity to watch a sport which has grown in popularity with the rise of stars such as Laura Trott and Ed Clancy. The Omnium is open to British Cycling members with a category 3 or 4 licence, and is expected to sell out quickly.
