The location is absolutely fantastic! We loved the setting and the layout of the lodges. There was a big group of us and it was fantastic that we would comfortably fit into the lodges. Socialising was very easy!

Our Park is in a woodland setting and we aim to offer ‘lodges at one with nature’. All lodges are detached and so are socially distanced from other lodges and guests.
When we re-open, it is likely that we will need to operate to slightly reduced hours and services, and some features where we cannot ensure safe social distancing may need to remain closed. Just prior to re-opening we will review our risk assessments but it is possible that the facilities in our Leisure Building, Archery Centre & Swimming Pool may have to remain closed.
Our woodland trails will all be available as should all outdoor facilities including jungle gym, 5-a-side football, den building and dog walks.
Our Reception will be open but on a reduced hours basis. Usual Days: Morning only: 9-10 a.m. Change over days (Monday & Friday) Morning: 8-10 a.m. Evening: 5-7 p.m.
Many local places can easily be visited, an example is Rufford Abbey Country Park which is within a 10-minute walk.
To safeguard our staff, we request that before leaving you
- Strip beds of linen and put in red bag
- Put used towels in blue bag
- Put used crockery/ cutlery in dishwasher
- Put refuse in outside bins
We will review & update this notice regularly.
OUR ACCOMMODATION

CHOOSE YOUR LODGE
We have a variety of lodge designs and types to suit all groups and requirements.
Explore The Park
A great place for the family to relax and have fun together on holiday or to celebrate a special event. We also have several cosy lodges reserved for families and their dog. With on-site activities and lots of local attractions in easy reach Sherwood Castle is an ideal destination for your break.
Lots to Do and see
All of our lodges have been constructed from sustainable sources that are of solid Finnish pine that ‘blend in’ with the environment (not timber cloaked caravans). Most of the lodges are tucked in to the woodland but we have several around the lake. When darkness falls each lodge feels secluded allowing you to commune with the natural environment!
